Dedicated controls for contacts, call history, messages, headset, speaker, mute and volume make everyday call handling straightforward. Four context-sensitive softkeys provide access to additional options depending on the current call or menu.
Compatible Avaya BM12 button modules can be added where supported, providing additional programmable buttons for receptionists, supervisors and users who need to monitor more lines, extensions or system functions.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
This Avaya 9608 is supplied with SIP firmware and is designed primarily for use with a compatible Avaya Aura Communication Manager and Session Manager environment. It must be connected to an Ethernet network and configured with the correct SIP, provisioning and authentication details.
Compatibility, registration and available call features depend on the telephone platform, firmware version, licensing, network configuration and provisioning files in use. Configuration should normally be completed by an experienced Avaya administrator or telephone-system provider.
Please note: The Avaya 9608 can exist with either SIP or H.323 firmware. This listing is for the SIP version. It is not a generic plug-and-play SIP telephone and compatibility with third-party hosted VoIP platforms cannot be assumed. The phone requires Power over Ethernet from a compatible PoE switch or injector, which is not included unless selected separately.
