Unlike a conventional Bluetooth headset connection, the Engage 55 uses dedicated DECT wireless technology with Security Level C protection and enhanced encryption. This makes it particularly suitable for professional environments where call security, wireless range and dependable performance are important.
The dual-ear design helps users remain focused in busy offices, while the noise-cancelling microphone system helps reduce background sound so speech remains clear. Integrated controls provide convenient access to call handling, volume and microphone mute functions where supported.
A built-in busylight helps indicate when the user is on a call. The rechargeable battery is replaceable, helping extend the usable life of the headset when battery performance eventually declines.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Jabra Engage 55 Stereo connects to a compatible PC or laptop through the included Jabra Link 400 USB DECT adapter. The adapter provides the dedicated, encrypted wireless connection between the computer and headset and is required for normal wireless operation.
Available answer, end, mute and other remote call-control functions depend on the operating system, communications platform, software version and whether the supplied Link 400 is the UC or Microsoft-certified variant.

The Engage 55 is intended primarily for computer-based communications and does not connect directly to a traditional desk-phone headset port. It is not a Bluetooth headset and does not pair directly with mobile phones.
