The refurbished Mitel 53 Series Wireless Handset is a dedicated cordless DECT handset accessory for compatible Mitel 5300 Series IP phones. It replaces the telephone’s standard corded handset, allowing users to continue a desk-phone call while moving around their office or workspace.
The handset provides integrated answer, end, volume and mute controls together with a built-in ringer, audible warning tones and LED status indicators. DECT wireless technology offers a maximum operating range of up to approximately 100 metres in suitable conditions.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Mitel 53 Series Wireless Handset provides cordless handset operation on selected Mitel IP phones. It is intended for users who prefer a conventional telephone handset but need the freedom to move around their immediate workplace during calls.
The handset communicates with a Mitel Cordless DECT Accessories Module installed on the compatible phone. It does not use Bluetooth and cannot operate independently of the telephone and module.
DECT wireless technology provides a maximum operating range of up to approximately 100 metres from the connected desk phone under open, unobstructed conditions. Walls, floors, office layouts, radio interference and building construction will reduce the practical range.
A built-in ringer alerts the user to incoming calls while away from the desk. The handset can initiate and end calls and includes dedicated listening-volume and microphone-mute controls.
Compatible Mitel telephone systems can be configured to place an outbound call automatically when the cordless handset is lifted. Available functions depend on the phone system, software release and administrator configuration.
LED indicators show wireless connectivity and charging status. Audible alerts warn the user when the battery is running low or when the handset is moving outside its usable wireless range.
The rechargeable battery provides up to eight hours of talk time and up to 43 hours of standby time. A full recharge takes up to approximately three hours using the compatible Mitel cordless handset charging plate.
The charging plate replaces the standard handset cradle plate fitted to the compatible Mitel phone. The cordless handset should be returned to this charging position when it is not being used.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The wireless handset is designed for selected Mitel MiVoice 5330, 5330e, 5340, 5340e and 5360 IP phones fitted with the correct Mitel Cordless DECT Accessories Module.
A compatible Mitel cordless handset charging plate must also be fitted to the telephone. This replaces the standard handset cradle plate and provides the contacts required to charge the wireless handset.
To pair the handset, ensure that its battery is charged, activate pairing mode using the button on the Cordless DECT Accessories Module, and then hold the handset’s call button to place the handset into pairing mode. Complete the pairing process through the phone’s Cordless Devices application.
A compatible phone can support one paired cordless handset and one paired cordless headset. Pairing the handset with a different telephone will overwrite its previous pairing.
This listing is for the refurbished wireless handset and battery only. The charging plate, Cordless DECT Accessories Module and Mitel desk phone are not included unless expressly stated elsewhere in the listing.
Please note: The handset is not a universal DECT telephone and cannot connect directly to a DECT base station, mobile phone, Bluetooth device, computer or standard handset socket. Compatibility depends on the Mitel phone model, installed module, system software and configuration.
