DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Panasonic KX-DT321 is designed for general office users who need straightforward access to telephone lines, extensions, speed dials and commonly used PBX features.
Its backlit one-line, 16-character LCD displays telephone status and information supplied by the connected Panasonic PBX. Available caller information and menu functions depend on the telephone-system configuration.
Eight programmable keys with status indicators can be assigned as outside lines, direct station selection keys, one-touch dialling buttons or system features. Key assignments are managed through the telephone or PBX programming.
Dedicated fixed-function buttons provide convenient access to intercom, auto answer and mute, automatic dialling, programme functions, messages, redial, transfer, flash or recall, hold and speakerphone operation.
The four-direction navigation control can be used to move through supported personal or system directories, incoming-call logs, outgoing-call logs and display settings.
The integrated full-duplex speakerphone supports hands-free calls, while the headset port allows the telephone to be used with a suitable Panasonic-compatible wired headset.
A visual ringing and message-waiting indicator provides a clear alert for incoming calls and voicemail notifications where supported by the connected telephone system.
The Digital XDP connection can allow a compatible additional Panasonic digital proprietary telephone to share the extension cabling while operating as a separately assigned extension. Availability depends on the PBX, digital card and system programming.
The two-position desktop stand allows the viewing and operating angle to be adjusted. The telephone can also be wall mounted using suitable mounting hardware.
Unlike an IP phone, the KX-DT321 is powered and controlled through a compatible Panasonic digital PBX extension port. It does not require an Ethernet connection, Power over Ethernet or a separate mains adapter.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Panasonic KX-DT321 is a digital proprietary system telephone and requires a compatible Panasonic PBX fitted with a suitable digital extension card or digital proprietary telephone port.
It is commonly used with Panasonic KX-TDA, KX-TDE and KX-NCP telephone systems. Compatibility can depend on the PBX model, installed extension card, software version and system programming.
Connect the telephone’s system port to the compatible Panasonic digital extension socket using the supplied telephone line cord. The PBX provides both operating power and signalling to the telephone.
Extension numbers, outside-line keys, direct station selection keys, speed dials, voicemail functions and other features must be assigned through the connected PBX or telephone programming.
The Digital XDP port can support a compatible additional Panasonic digital telephone where enabled by the PBX. The second device normally requires its own extension assignment and suitable system capacity.
This phone does not use SIP, Ethernet or Power over Ethernet and cannot register directly with a hosted VoIP service. It is also unsuitable for direct connection to a normal BT-style analogue telephone line.
Please note: Panasonic digital proprietary telephones may use similar connectors to ordinary analogue phones, but the electrical signalling is different. Connecting the KX-DT321 to an unsupported line will not make it operational. Please confirm your Panasonic PBX and digital extension compatibility before ordering.
