The refurbished Panasonic KX-DT521 is a compact digital proprietary telephone designed for everyday business communications on compatible Panasonic PBX systems.
It features a backlit one-line display, eight programmable line or feature keys, dedicated call-handling controls, four-direction navigation and a full-duplex hands-free speakerphone. A wired-headset socket and Digital XDP connection provide additional flexibility for office users.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Panasonic KX-DT521 is designed for general office users who require straightforward access to telephone lines, extensions, speed dials and frequently used Panasonic PBX features.
Its backlit one-line, 16-character display presents call status and information supplied by the connected telephone system. The backlight can be configured for automatic operation, continuous use or switched off.
Eight flexible CO keys with status indicators can be assigned as outside lines, direct station selection keys, one-touch dialling buttons or other supported system functions.
Dedicated controls provide convenient access to conference calling, messages, flash or recall, redial, automatic answer, microphone mute, transfer, speed dialling, hold, intercom and hands-free operation.
The four-direction navigation control can be used to adjust speaker, handset, headset and ringer volume. It also provides access to supported settings and menu items.
The integrated full-duplex speakerphone supports natural two-way hands-free conversations. A dedicated headset socket allows the phone to be used with a compatible wired headset.
The KX-DT521 does not have an electronic hook-switch socket. Wireless headsets requiring EHS remote call control are therefore not directly supported in the same way as on the KX-DT543 and KX-DT546.
A message and ringing lamp provides visual notification of incoming internal and external calls. It can also remain illuminated when a supported message-waiting notification has been received.
Incoming and outgoing call-log functions are available where supported by the connected Panasonic PBX, system software and administrator configuration.
The Digital XDP connection can support a compatible additional Panasonic digital proprietary telephone. The second telephone requires suitable PBX capacity and system programming.
The KX-DT521 receives power and signalling from a compatible Panasonic PBX digital extension port. It does not require Ethernet, Power over Ethernet or a separate mains adapter.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Panasonic KX-DT521 is a digital proprietary system telephone and requires a compatible Panasonic PBX fitted with a suitable digital extension card or digital proprietary telephone port.
Panasonic documentation identifies support for systems including the KX-NS1000, KX-NCP500, KX-NCP1000 and KX-TDE ranges, subject to the required PBX software version, extension hardware and system programming.
Connect the telephone’s main system port to the compatible Panasonic digital extension socket using the supplied telephone line cord. The PBX provides both operating power and digital signalling.
Extension numbers, outside-line keys, direct station selection keys, one-touch dialling and other functions must be assigned through the connected Panasonic PBX or telephone programming.
The Digital XDP connection can support another compatible Panasonic digital proprietary telephone where the PBX, extension card and system capacity permit it.
This phone does not use SIP, Ethernet or Power over Ethernet and cannot register directly with a hosted VoIP service. It is also unsuitable for direct connection to a normal BT-style analogue telephone line.
Please note: Panasonic digital proprietary telephones can use connectors that resemble ordinary analogue telephone plugs, but the electrical signalling is different. Please confirm your Panasonic PBX model, digital extension card and software compatibility before ordering.
