The refurbished Panasonic KX-NT551 Standard IP Phone is a compact business handset designed for everyday communications on compatible Panasonic PBX systems.
It features a backlit one-line display, eight programmable line or feature keys, dedicated call controls, full-duplex hands-free operation and wired-headset support. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports allow the phone and a nearby computer to share one network connection, while Power over Ethernet can simplify installation.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Panasonic KX-NT551 is designed for general office users who require straightforward access to telephone lines, extensions, speed dials and frequently used Panasonic PBX features.
Its backlit one-line, 16-character LCD displays call status and information supplied by the connected Panasonic telephone system. The display backlight helps improve visibility in different office lighting conditions.
Eight flexible CO keys with integrated status indicators can be assigned as outside lines, direct station selection buttons, one-touch dialling keys or other supported PBX functions.
Unlike the larger KX-NT553 and KX-NT556 models, the KX-NT551 does not use self-labelling display keys. Key assignments can be identified using suitable printed or written labels.
Dedicated controls provide convenient access to commonly used functions such as hold, transfer, conference, intercom, messages, redial, mute, speakerphone and volume adjustment.
The navigation control can be used to adjust handset, headset, speaker and ringing volume and to access supported menus and telephone-system functions.
Incoming and outgoing call logs are available where supported by the connected Panasonic PBX, system software and administrator configuration.
The integrated full-duplex speakerphone supports natural two-way hands-free conversations. A dedicated headset socket allows use with a compatible wired business headset.
The KX-NT551 does not provide a dedicated electronic hook-switch connection. Wireless-headset remote call control should therefore not be assumed without an appropriate third-party arrangement.
Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports allow the telephone to connect to the business network while providing a pass-through network connection for a nearby computer.
The phone can receive operating power from a compatible Power over Ethernet switch or injector. Where PoE is unavailable, a suitable Panasonic external power adapter is required.
Eco Mode can reduce the Ethernet connection speed and power consumption where Gigabit performance is not required. The exact behaviour depends on the telephone and network configuration.
The KX-NT551 is an IP proprietary telephone. Its registration, available lines, programmable keys and call-handling functions are controlled by a compatible Panasonic PBX rather than by the telephone alone.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Panasonic KX-NT551 is an IP proprietary system telephone and requires a compatible Panasonic PBX, suitable IP-extension licensing and provisioning by the system administrator or communications provider.
Panasonic documentation identifies compatibility with selected KX-NS, KX-NCP, KX-TDE and KX-TDA platforms, subject to the required PBX software version, extension capacity and configuration.
Connect the telephone’s LAN port to a suitable Ethernet network. Where compatible Power over Ethernet is available, the telephone can receive power through the network cable. Otherwise, a suitable Panasonic external power adapter is required.
The second Gigabit Ethernet port can provide a pass-through network connection to a nearby computer. Network addressing, VLAN settings, security and quality-of-service requirements should be confirmed with the system administrator.
Extension registration, programmable-key assignments, voicemail, directories, call forwarding, call logs and other features are controlled by the connected Panasonic PBX and its software configuration.
The KX-NT551 should not be assumed to work as an unrestricted general-purpose SIP telephone. Compatibility with third-party systems, cloud services or alternative Panasonic platforms must be confirmed before ordering.
Please note: This telephone does not connect directly to an ordinary analogue telephone line. Please confirm your Panasonic PBX model, software version, IP-extension licence, network configuration and power arrangement before ordering. The external power adapter is not included unless specifically stated.
