The refurbished Panasonic KX-NT553 is a professional IP proprietary telephone designed for busy office users on compatible Panasonic PBX systems.
It features a backlit three-line display, self-labelling programmable keys, four context-sensitive softkeys, full-duplex hands-free operation and flexible headset support. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports allow the telephone and a nearby computer to share one network connection, while Power over Ethernet can simplify installation.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Panasonic KX-NT553 is designed for business users who require quick access to multiple telephone lines, extensions, speed dials and frequently used Panasonic PBX functions.
Its backlit three-line LCD presents caller details, telephone status, menu options and information supplied by the connected Panasonic communications system.
Twelve physical flexible keys sit beside the display. Two selectable pages allow up to 24 line, extension, speed-dial or feature assignments to be shown with electronic labels.
Self-labelling operation removes the need to write or print paper key labels. The displayed descriptions update according to the assignments configured through the connected telephone system.
Four context-sensitive softkeys beneath the display change according to the current call, menu or system feature, placing relevant controls within easy reach.
Dedicated controls provide convenient access to conference calling, messages, pause, flash or recall, redial, automatic answer, microphone mute, transfer, automatic dialling, hold, intercom and speakerphone operation.
The navigator key can be used to move through supported directories, incoming and outgoing call logs, menus and telephone settings. It also provides convenient volume adjustment.
The integrated full-duplex speakerphone supports natural two-way hands-free conversations. A dedicated headset socket allows the telephone to be used with a compatible wired business headset.
A separate electronic hook-switch connection supports compatible wireless headsets with remote call answering and ending. Compatibility depends on the headset model, connection cable and telephone-system configuration.
A message and ringer lamp provides visual notification of incoming internal and external calls and can remain illuminated when a supported message-waiting notification is present.
Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports allow the telephone to connect to the business network while providing a pass-through network connection for a nearby computer.
Power over Ethernet allows the telephone to receive network data and operating power through one compatible Ethernet connection. A suitable Panasonic external power adapter can be used where PoE is unavailable.
The optional Panasonic KX-NT505 module adds 48 programmable keys for receptionists, operators and users who need to monitor a larger number of extensions or telephone lines.
The KX-NT553 is an IP proprietary telephone. Registration, available features, programmable assignments and call handling are controlled by a compatible Panasonic PBX rather than by the telephone alone.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Panasonic KX-NT553 is an IP proprietary system telephone and requires a compatible Panasonic PBX, suitable IP-extension licensing and provisioning by the system administrator or communications provider.
Compatibility depends on the precise Panasonic PBX model, installed software, available IP-extension capacity, licences and system configuration.
Connect the telephone’s LAN port to a suitable Ethernet network. Where compatible Power over Ethernet is available, the telephone can receive power through the network cable. Otherwise, a suitable Panasonic external power adapter is required.
The second Gigabit Ethernet port can provide a pass-through network connection to a nearby computer. Network addressing, VLAN settings, security and quality-of-service requirements should be confirmed with the system administrator.
Extension registration, programmable-key assignments, electronic labels, voicemail, directories, call forwarding, call logs and other features are controlled by the connected Panasonic PBX.
A compatible wired headset connects through the dedicated headset socket. Compatible wireless headsets may use the separate EHS connection for remote call control, subject to the correct headset cable and configuration.
The optional Panasonic KX-NT505 requires compatible system support, the correct mounting arrangement and sufficient power. Accessory combinations may require an external power adapter rather than standard PoE.
The KX-NT553 should not be assumed to operate as an unrestricted general-purpose SIP telephone. Compatibility with third-party platforms or hosted services must be confirmed before ordering.
Please note: This telephone does not connect directly to an ordinary analogue telephone line. Please confirm your Panasonic PBX model, software version, IP-extension licence, network configuration and power arrangement before ordering. The external power adapter is not included unless specifically stated.
