DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Panasonic KX-TCA185 is designed for employees who need access to their business extension while moving between offices, departments, wards, stock areas or other parts of a workplace.
Its 1.8-inch colour TFT display presents caller information, extension status, directories, menus and telephone-system functions supplied by the connected Panasonic PBX.
Twelve flexible CO keys can provide access to configured outside lines, extensions or telephone-system functions. The exact assignments and available features depend on the connected PBX and administrator configuration.
Three context-sensitive softkeys change according to the current menu or call state, placing relevant options within easy reach.
The handset supports a PBX phonebook containing up to 500 numbers, together with incoming and outgoing call logs where these functions are enabled by the telephone system.
Built-in noise reduction helps improve call clarity in workplaces with background sound. The integrated full-duplex speakerphone also supports convenient hands-free conversations.
A dedicated 2.5mm headset socket allows a compatible wired headset to be connected for private or frequent calling. The KX-TCA185 does not include built-in Bluetooth.
The vibrating alert can provide discreet notification of incoming calls and is useful in loud environments where a ringtone may not be heard or in quiet locations where audible ringing may be disruptive.
DECT paging and message-waiting indication are supported where enabled by the connected Panasonic telephone system. Three-party conference calling is also available subject to PBX configuration.
Two replaceable AAA Ni-MH batteries provide up to approximately 11 hours of talk time or up to 200 hours of standby time under Panasonic’s test conditions.
A full battery charge takes approximately seven hours. When not in use, the handset can be placed in the supplied charging cradle for convenient storage and charging.
The swivelling belt clip allows the handset to be carried securely while the user moves around the workplace.
The KX-TCA185 is a Panasonic business DECT portable station. It must be registered to a compatible Panasonic cell station and PBX and cannot operate as a standalone domestic cordless telephone.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Panasonic KX-TCA185 is a business DECT portable station and requires registration to a compatible Panasonic DECT cell station connected to a supported Panasonic PBX or communications server.
Compatibility depends on the PBX model, cell-station type, regional DECT version, system software, available portable-station capacity and licensing.
The handset is used with Panasonic business systems including selected KX-NCP, KX-TDE, KX-NS and KX-NSX installations where the appropriate DECT infrastructure is present.
The handset must be registered to the system by the administrator or telephone engineer. Extension details, flexible-key assignments, directories, paging, voicemail and other functions are controlled by the connected PBX.
Wireless coverage is provided by the installed Panasonic cell stations rather than by the charging cradle. Practical coverage depends on cell-station placement, walls, floors, building materials, interference and the wider DECT system design.
The supplied charging cradle only charges and stores the handset. It does not connect to a telephone line, Ethernet network or PBX and does not act as a DECT base station.
The KX-TCA185 does not include Bluetooth and cannot pair directly with mobile phones or Bluetooth headsets. A compatible wired headset can be connected through its 2.5mm socket.
Please note: This handset is not a domestic cordless phone and will not operate simply by connecting the charger to the mains. Please confirm your Panasonic PBX, cell-station model, DECT region, software and available handset capacity before ordering.
