DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Plantronics CS520 is designed for desk-phone users who need to move around the office while remaining connected to calls.
Its charging base connects between a compatible desk phone and its telephone handset using the supplied interface cable. The headset then communicates wirelessly with the base using DECT technology.
The dual-ear design delivers call audio through both speakers, helping users remain focused during customer conversations and other concentrated telephone work.
The adjustable noise-cancelling boom microphone helps reduce surrounding office sound so the user’s voice remains clearer to callers.
The microphone boom can be positioned for reliable voice pickup and allows the headset to be worn with the microphone on either side of the head.
On-headset controls provide convenient access to call answering and ending, microphone mute and listening-volume adjustment.
Remote call answering requires the correct connection arrangement. With a standard telephone-interface cable, users will normally need to lift and replace the desk-phone handset manually.
A compatible electronic hook-switch cable or Poly HL10 handset lifter can allow calls to be answered and ended from the headset while away from the desk.
DECT wireless technology provides greater workplace range than a conventional Bluetooth headset. The maximum range is up to approximately 107 metres in a suitable open area.
Practical indoor range will normally be lower and depends on walls, floors, building materials, electrical interference and the position of the charging base.
The tested rechargeable battery can provide up to approximately 13 hours of talk time when in suitable condition and fully charged. Actual performance varies according to age, use and operating environment.
When not in use, the headset sits in the supplied base for convenient storage and charging.
The base includes compatibility, microphone-level and listening-volume controls that can be adjusted to suit different telephone systems.
Wideband audio can provide clearer, more natural speech when supported by the connected telephone and telephone system. Narrowband operation is also available for broader compatibility.
SoundGuard acoustic protection helps limit sudden loud sounds transmitted through the headset during calls.
Plantronics was renamed Poly following its acquisition of Polycom, and Poly later became part of HP. Product and base branding may therefore display Plantronics, Poly or HP Poly.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Plantronics CS520 is designed to connect to a compatible desk phone through the supplied telephone-interface cable.
The charging base is normally connected between the telephone and its handset. Compatibility and audio-level controls on the base may need to be adjusted during installation.
With the standard telephone-interface cable, the user will normally need to lift and replace the desk-phone handset manually when making or receiving calls.
Remote call answering and ending requires either a compatible electronic hook-switch cable or a Poly HL10 mechanical handset lifter.
Electronic hook-switch cables are telephone-specific. The correct cable depends on the exact manufacturer and model of desk phone and is not included unless specifically stated.
The CS520 connects to one desk phone. It does not provide a direct USB computer connection, Bluetooth mobile connection or multi-device base.
Wireless range depends on the workplace. Walls, floors, reinforced construction, other wireless equipment and the position of the charging base can reduce the maximum operating distance.
Please note: Please confirm your exact telephone model before ordering, particularly where remote call control is required. An EHS cable or handset lifter is not included unless specifically stated.
