PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The refurbished Polycom VVX 450 IP Phone is a 12-line SIP business telephone designed for executives, reception areas, administrators and other users who manage multiple extensions, contacts and call functions.
It combines a large 4.3-inch colour display with Poly HD Voice, Acoustic Fence noise reduction, full-duplex hands-free calling and Power over Ethernet. Twelve programmable keys provide direct access to configured lines, monitored extensions, contacts and platform-supported features.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Polycom VVX 450 is designed for professional users who need a large display and direct access to several lines, contacts or call-management functions.
Its twelve programmable keys can be assigned to SIP registrations, shared call appearances, monitored extensions, busy-lamp contacts, favourites, speed dials or other platform-supported functions.
Line-key pagination can provide access to additional assignments beyond the twelve functions displayed at one time, depending on firmware and system configuration.
The large 4.3-inch colour display provides a clear view of caller information, line status, contacts, recent calls, menus and context-sensitive call options.
A four-way navigation control, dedicated function keys and context-sensitive soft keys provide straightforward access to telephone settings and call handling.
Poly HD Voice technology supports clearer and more natural conversations when the telephone service, network and other endpoint use compatible wideband codecs.
Poly Acoustic Clarity technology combines full-duplex audio, acoustic echo cancellation and background-noise suppression for more natural hands-free conversations.
Acoustic Fence technology helps reduce surrounding sound captured by the microphone, supporting clearer conversations in open-plan offices and other shared environments.
The full-duplex speakerphone allows both callers to speak naturally during hands-free calls without the clipping associated with basic half-duplex speakerphones.
A dedicated RJ9 headset port supports compatible professional wired headsets when used with the correct headset connection cable.
Electronic hook-switch capability may allow selected wireless headsets to answer and end calls remotely when the correct EHS cable and telephone configuration are used.
The USB Type-A port supports selected headsets and approved low-powered accessories, subject to the installed firmware and telephone-platform configuration.
Two Ethernet ports allow the telephone to connect to the network while providing a pass-through network connection for a nearby computer.
IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet support allows the phone to receive both power and network connectivity through one RJ45 cable when connected to a compatible PoE switch or injector.
Where PoE is unavailable, the phone can use a compatible 5V Poly mains adapter. The power adapter is only included where specifically stated.
The VVX 450 can support up to two compatible VVX EM50 expansion modules, providing additional programmable keys for reception, attendant and call-monitoring environments.
Expansion-module key assignments and busy-lamp functions depend on the connected telephone platform, firmware and administrator configuration.
The VVX 450 uses SIP and must be configured for a compatible hosted VoIP service, SIP server or business telephone platform before calls can be made.
Features such as extensions, voicemail, directories, call forwarding, call pickup, presence, busy-lamp monitoring and call recording depend on the connected telephone service.
Centralised provisioning allows compatible providers and administrators to deploy SIP accounts, settings and firmware remotely.
UC Software and OBi Edition versions were produced. These use different firmware families and may not be interchangeable for every hosted telephone provider.
The phone is supplied reset and prepared for configuration but does not include a telephone extension, SIP subscription, hosted licence or provider setup unless agreed separately.
Polycom later became Poly, which subsequently became part of HP. Product casing, labels, firmware and startup screens may therefore refer to Polycom, Poly or HP Poly.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Polycom VVX 450 is a SIP network telephone. It requires a compatible hosted VoIP provider, SIP server or business telephone platform and cannot be connected directly to an ordinary analogue telephone line.
The phone must be connected to an Ethernet network with access to the required telephone service. SIP credentials or a provider-controlled provisioning service are required before calls can be made.
Power can be supplied by a compatible IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet switch or injector. Where PoE is unavailable, the correct Poly-compatible mains adapter is required and is not included unless specifically stated.
The second Ethernet port can provide a network pass-through connection for a nearby computer.
A compatible wired headset can be connected through the dedicated headset port. Selected USB headsets and accessories may also operate through the USB port, subject to firmware support.
Remote call control with a wireless headset requires a compatible EHS cable and support from the headset, phone firmware and connected platform.
Up to two compatible VVX EM50 expansion modules can be attached. Available key assignments and busy-lamp functions depend on administrator configuration and telephone-platform support.
The VVX 450 does not have built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and normally requires a wired Ethernet connection.
UC Software and OBi Edition variants were produced. Their firmware and provider support can differ, and they should not be assumed to be interchangeable.
The telephone is supplied without an extension number, SIP subscription, hosted telephone licence or configuration service unless specifically agreed separately.
Please note: Confirm compatibility with your telephone provider before ordering, including whether UC Software or OBi Edition firmware is required. A power adapter, headset, EHS cable and expansion module are not included unless specifically stated.
