PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The refurbished Polycom VVX Colour Expansion Module adds programmable keys and a dedicated colour display to compatible Polycom VVX business phones. It is designed for receptionists, administrators, supervisors and other users who monitor multiple extensions or handle a high volume of calls.
The module provides 28 physical line keys with red and green status indicators. Three page-selection keys provide access to up to 84 configured assignments, which can include line appearances, monitored extensions, busy-lamp contacts, favourites and speed dials.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Polycom VVX Colour Expansion Module is designed for users who need to monitor and access more extensions, lines and call functions than the keys available on their VVX phone alone.
Its 28 physical keys can be configured as line registrations, shared call appearances, busy-lamp contacts, favourites, speed dials, direct station selection keys or other supported functions.
Three page-selection keys beneath the display allow each physical key to represent three separate assignments, providing access to as many as 84 configured positions on one module.
The 4.3-inch colour LCD displays electronic labels beside the corresponding keys, avoiding the need to update printed paper labels when assignments change.
Dual-colour red and green key indicators provide visual status information for configured extensions and call appearances.
Available indicators and key behaviour depend on the connected telephone platform, account configuration and administrator-defined provisioning.
Busy Lamp Field functionality can allow receptionists and team members to see whether configured extensions are available, ringing or engaged.
Users can press a configured key to access an available line, call a saved contact, select a monitored extension or perform another assigned telephone function.
This makes the module suitable for receptionists, telephone attendants, administrative staff, team managers and customer-service users handling several simultaneous calls.
The module connects to the auxiliary port on a compatible Polycom VVX phone using the supplied connection cable.
An attachment bracket secures the module beside the host telephone to create a stable and integrated desktop arrangement.
The display language and configured key information are controlled by the attached VVX phone and telephone system.
Up to three compatible VVX expansion modules can be connected together, subject to the host telephone model, firmware, available power and platform configuration.
Paper-display and colour-display VVX expansion modules should not be mixed within the same connected module chain.
The expansion module receives its operating power through the host VVX phone and does not normally require a separate power adapter.
The host telephone must have sufficient power available for the number of connected modules. Power requirements may affect whether the telephone can use standard PoE, enhanced PoE or a compatible mains adapter.
The module does not operate independently and does not provide a SIP account, telephone extension, network connection, handset or speakerphone.
All key assignments, monitored contacts and call functions must be configured through the host VVX telephone and compatible telephone platform.
Polycom later became Poly, which subsequently became part of HP. Product labels and documentation may therefore refer to Polycom, Poly or HP Poly.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Polycom VVX Colour Expansion Module is an accessory and cannot operate independently. It requires a compatible Polycom VVX business phone with the appropriate auxiliary expansion port.
Original documented compatibility includes the Polycom VVX 300, VVX 310, VVX 400, VVX 410, VVX 500 and VVX 600. Compatibility was later extended to selected related models, including some 301, 311, 401, 411, 501 and 601 versions.
Compatibility should be confirmed using the exact host-phone model, hardware revision, firmware version and connected telephone platform.
The module is not the same as the later Poly VVX EM50 and is not intended for the VVX 450 unless the precise hardware and platform documentation explicitly confirms support.
The supplied auxiliary cable connects the module to the expansion port on the host telephone. Further compatible modules can be daisy-chained through the second auxiliary port.
Up to three compatible expansion modules may be connected, but the permitted number depends on the power supplied to the host telephone and the applicable firmware.
The connected VVX phone automatically provides power and configuration information to the module. A separate network connection or SIP account is not required for the module itself.
Line assignments, BLF monitoring, favourites and other functions must be configured by the telephone-system administrator and supported by the hosted VoIP or SIP platform.
Please note: Confirm the exact VVX telephone model, firmware and telephone-platform support before ordering. The host telephone and telephone service are not included.
