PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The new Polycom VVX 250 IP Phone is a compact four-line SIP telephone designed for everyday business communications, hosted VoIP services and compatible IP-PBX platforms.
It combines a 2.8-inch colour display with Poly HD Voice, full-duplex hands-free calling, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and Power over Ethernet. Four programmable line keys provide convenient access to configured extensions, call appearances, contacts and telephone features.
Brand New
Supplied new and unused with the telephone handset, handset curl cord, network cable and desktop stand. The phone requires a compatible SIP telephone service and Power over Ethernet or a suitable power adapter.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Polycom VVX 250 is designed for office users who need clear business calling, several programmable keys and straightforward access to hosted telephone features.
Its compact footprint makes it suitable for individual desks, reception areas, retail counters, shared workspaces and other locations where desk space is limited.
Four physical line keys can be configured as SIP registrations, call appearances, contacts, speed dials or platform-supported functions.
The 2.8-inch backlit colour display presents caller information, line status, directories, recent calls and context-sensitive options.
Navigation controls and soft keys provide straightforward access to telephone settings, contacts, voicemail and call handling.
Poly HD Voice technology supports clearer and more natural conversations when used with compatible wideband telephone services and endpoints.
Poly Acoustic Clarity technology supports full-duplex speakerphone conversations with acoustic echo cancellation and background-noise suppression.
Poly Acoustic Fence can help reduce distracting background sound captured by the microphone during compatible handset and headset calls.
The full-duplex speakerphone allows both participants to speak naturally during hands-free conversations.
A dedicated RJ9 connection supports compatible professional wired headsets using the appropriate connection cable.
The phone also supports USB headsets and compatible electronic hook-switch headsets, subject to the precise headset, firmware and platform configuration.
The USB Type-A port can support selected headsets, storage devices and compatible optional Wi-Fi adapters.
Two Gigabit Ethernet ports allow the phone to connect to the business network while providing a pass-through network connection for a nearby computer.
Power over Ethernet allows the phone to receive power and network connectivity through one cable when connected to a suitable PoE switch or injector.
Where PoE is unavailable, a compatible Poly power adapter can be used. The adapter is not included unless specifically stated.
The VVX 250 uses SIP and must be configured for a compatible hosted VoIP service, SIP server or business telephone platform before calls can be made.
Functions such as voicemail, directories, busy-lamp monitoring, call parking, presence and call recording depend on the connected telephone system.
Centralised provisioning allows compatible providers and system administrators to deploy telephone accounts, settings and firmware remotely.
Both UC Software and OBi Edition variants were produced. These use different firmware families and may not be interchangeable for every provider.
The telephone does not include a telephone number, SIP subscription, hosted licence or configuration service unless specifically agreed separately.
Polycom later became Poly, which subsequently became part of HP. Product casing, labels, packaging and firmware may therefore refer to Polycom, Poly or HP Poly.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Polycom VVX 250 is a SIP network telephone. It requires a compatible hosted VoIP provider, SIP server or business telephone platform and cannot connect directly to an ordinary analogue telephone line.
The phone must be connected to an Ethernet network with access to the required telephone service. SIP account details or provider-controlled provisioning are required before calls can be made.
Power can be supplied by a compatible Power over Ethernet switch or injector. Where PoE is unavailable, the correct Poly-compatible power adapter is required and is not included unless specifically stated.
The second Gigabit Ethernet port can provide a pass-through network connection for a nearby computer.
Compatible wired headsets can use the RJ9 headset port. Selected USB headsets and accessories can use the USB Type-A port, subject to firmware support.
Remote call control with a compatible wireless headset requires the correct electronic hook-switch connection and support from the telephone platform.
The VVX 250 does not have built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Selected Wi-Fi adapters may be supported through USB.
UC Software and OBi Edition versions use different firmware families. Provider compatibility should be checked against the precise version supplied.
Please note: Confirm compatibility with your telephone provider before ordering, including the required firmware variant. A power adapter, headset, EHS cable and telephone service are not included unless specifically stated.
