The new Polycom VVX 350 IP Phone is a six-line SIP business telephone designed for offices, customer-service teams and users who need convenient access to several extensions, contacts and call functions.

It combines a 3.5-inch colour display with Poly HD Voice, Acoustic Fence noise reduction, full-duplex hands-free calling, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and Power over Ethernet. Six programmable keys provide access to configured lines, contacts, speed dials and platform-supported features.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS

The Polycom VVX 350 is designed for professional users who need more programmable keys and call-management capacity than a basic entry-level IP phone.

Its six physical line keys can be assigned to SIP registrations, shared call appearances, contacts, speed dials, monitored extensions or other platform-supported features.

Line-key pagination provides access to additional assignments beyond the six keys shown at one time, with support for up to 24 line-key positions.

The 3.5-inch backlit colour display presents caller information, line status, contacts, recent calls, menus and context-sensitive call options.

A four-way navigation control, dedicated audio keys and context-sensitive soft keys provide straightforward access to call handling and telephone settings.

Poly HD Voice technology supports clearer and more natural conversations when used with compatible wideband telephone services and endpoints.

Poly Acoustic Clarity technology provides full-duplex speakerphone conversations with acoustic echo cancellation and background-noise suppression.

Poly Acoustic Fence helps reduce distracting background sound captured while using the handset or a compatible wired headset.

The full-duplex speakerphone allows both callers to speak naturally during hands-free conversations without the restrictions of a basic half-duplex speakerphone.

A dedicated RJ9 headset port supports compatible professional wired headsets when used with the correct connection cable.

A separate electronic hook-switch port can support remote call control with selected wireless headsets and the appropriate EHS adapter.

Two USB Type-A ports can support selected headsets, storage devices, media applications and compatible optional Wi-Fi adapters.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports allow the phone to connect to the business network while providing a pass-through network connection for a nearby computer.

Power over Ethernet allows the phone to receive power and network connectivity through one cable when connected to a suitable IEEE 802.3af PoE switch or injector.

Where PoE is unavailable, a compatible 5V Poly power adapter can be used. The adapter is not included unless specifically stated.

The VVX 350 uses SIP and must be configured for a compatible hosted VoIP service, SIP server or business telephone platform before calls can be made.

It supports up to 24 SIP registrations, although the number available to an individual user depends on the telephone provider and provisioning profile.

Functions such as voicemail, directories, Busy Lamp Field monitoring, call parking, presence, call recording and call pickup depend on the connected telephone system.

Centralised provisioning allows compatible providers and system administrators to deploy accounts, telephone settings and firmware remotely.

Both UC Software and OBi Edition variants were produced. These use different firmware families and may not be interchangeable for every hosted provider.

The telephone does not include a telephone number, SIP subscription, hosted licence or configuration service unless specifically agreed separately.

Polycom later became Poly, which subsequently became part of HP. Product casing, labels, packaging and firmware may therefore refer to Polycom, Poly or HP Poly.
