PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The refurbished Polycom VVX 411 is a 12-line SIP business phone designed for busy offices, reception areas, customer-service teams and users who need convenient access to multiple extensions, contacts and call functions.
It combines a 3.5-inch colour display with Polycom HD Voice, full-duplex hands-free calling, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and Power over Ethernet. Twelve programmable line keys can be configured for SIP accounts, call appearances, monitored extensions, favourites and speed dials.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Polycom VVX 411 is designed for business users who need more line keys and call-management capacity than a basic entry-level IP phone.
Its twelve programmable keys can be configured as SIP registrations, shared call appearances, monitored extensions, favourites, speed dials or other telephone-platform functions.
This makes the phone suitable for receptionists, administrators, customer-service teams and users who regularly manage several extensions or active calls.
The 3.5-inch backlit colour display presents caller information, telephone directories, recent calls, line status and context-sensitive call options.
Navigation controls and soft keys provide straightforward access to telephone settings, contacts, voicemail and call-management features.
Polycom HD Voice supports clearer and more natural conversations when the connected telephone service, network and other endpoint use compatible wideband codecs.
Polycom Acoustic Clarity technology combines full-duplex audio, acoustic echo cancellation and background-noise suppression for more natural hands-free conversations.
The full-duplex speakerphone allows both callers to speak at the same time without the clipping associated with basic half-duplex speakerphones.
A dedicated headset connection supports compatible professional wired headsets when used with the correct headset cable.
Electronic hook-switch support may allow compatible wireless headsets to answer and end calls remotely when the correct EHS cable and telephone configuration are used.
The USB Type-A port can support selected compatible headsets and approved accessories, subject to the installed firmware.
Two Gigabit Ethernet ports allow the phone to connect to the business network while providing a pass-through network connection for a nearby computer.
The Gigabit pass-through connection avoids limiting the connected computer to the 100Mbps network speed found on some earlier IP phones.
Power over Ethernet allows the phone to receive power and network connectivity through one cable when connected to a suitable PoE switch or injector.
Where PoE is unavailable, a compatible Polycom mains power adapter can be used. The adapter is not included unless specifically stated.
Compatible Polycom VVX expansion modules can add further programmable keys for monitored extensions, favourites, speed dials and other supported functions.
Up to three compatible VVX expansion modules may be connected, subject to firmware, available power and telephone-platform configuration.
The VVX 411 uses SIP and must be configured for a compatible hosted VoIP service, SIP server or business telephone platform before calls can be made.
Functions such as voicemail, directories, Busy Lamp Field monitoring, call parking, call pickup, presence and call recording depend on the connected telephone service.
Centralised provisioning allows compatible service providers and system administrators to deploy SIP accounts, settings and firmware remotely.
The VVX 411 is an earlier-generation phone, so support for new activation should be confirmed with the intended hosted telephone provider.
The phone is supplied reset and prepared for configuration but does not include an extension number, SIP subscription, hosted licence or provider setup.
Polycom later became Poly, which subsequently became part of HP. Product casing, labels, firmware and startup screens may therefore refer to Polycom, Poly or HP Poly.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Polycom VVX 411 is a SIP network telephone. It requires a compatible hosted VoIP provider, SIP server or business telephone platform and cannot connect directly to an ordinary analogue telephone line.
The phone must be connected to an Ethernet network with access to the required telephone service. SIP account details or provider-controlled provisioning are required before calls can be made.
Power can be supplied by a compatible Power over Ethernet switch or injector. Where PoE is unavailable, the correct Polycom-compatible power adapter is required and is not included unless specifically stated.
The second Gigabit Ethernet port can provide a pass-through network connection for a nearby computer.
A compatible wired headset can be connected through the dedicated headset port. Selected USB headsets may also operate through the USB port, subject to firmware support.
Remote call control with a compatible wireless headset requires the correct EHS cable and support from the connected telephone platform.
Compatible VVX expansion modules can be attached through the auxiliary connection. Key assignments and Busy Lamp Field functions depend on administrator configuration and platform support.
The VVX 411 does not include built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and normally requires a wired Ethernet connection.
The VVX 411 is an earlier-generation model. Firmware availability and support for new activation vary between hosted telephone providers.
The phone is supplied without an extension number, SIP subscription, hosted telephone licence or configuration service unless specifically agreed separately.
Please note: Confirm compatibility with your telephone provider before ordering. A power adapter, headset, EHS cable and expansion module are not included unless specifically stated.
