DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Snom 710 is designed for everyday business users who need reliable SIP calling, clear audio and convenient access to commonly used telephone functions.
Four SIP identities allow the phone to support multiple configured accounts, extensions or call appearances where permitted by the connected telephone platform.
The phone can handle up to four simultaneous calls, although actual availability depends on the service provider and configuration.
Five programmable function keys with green LED indicators can be assigned to speed dials, monitored extensions, Busy Lamp Field contacts, presence or other supported functions.
The four-line backlit monochrome display presents caller information, extension details, call status, telephone menus and context-sensitive options.
Four context-sensitive keys change function according to the active menu or call state, helping users access relevant controls without navigating through unnecessary screens.
Dedicated message, mute, speakerphone, headset and volume controls provide direct access to frequently used functions.
The four-way navigation control, confirmation key and cancel key provide straightforward access to directories, settings and telephone features.
Wideband G.722 audio supports clearer and more natural conversations when the telephone service, network and other endpoint use compatible codecs.
A digital signal processor helps improve handset and speakerphone audio quality for professional business calls.
The wideband hands-free speakerphone supports office conversations without requiring the user to hold the handset.
Local three-party conferencing allows compatible calls to be combined directly on the phone.
A dedicated 4P4C headset connection supports compatible professional wired headsets using the correct connection cable.
Electronic hook-switch support can provide remote answering and call control with selected wireless headsets and the optional Snom EHS Advanced adapter.
Two 10/100 Ethernet ports allow the phone to connect to the business network while providing a pass-through connection for a nearby computer.
The computer pass-through connection can reduce the need for a separate network socket, although it is limited to Fast Ethernet rather than Gigabit Ethernet.
IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet allows the phone to receive power and network connectivity through one cable when connected to a compatible PoE switch or injector.
Where PoE is unavailable, the phone can use a compatible 5V Snom mains adapter. The adapter is not included unless specifically stated.
The local telephone directory can hold up to 1,000 entries, helping users access frequently called contacts from the handset.
Call lists provide access to dialled, received and missed calls, while platform-supported features can include call forwarding, pickup, parking, voicemail and extension monitoring.
The browser-based administration interface allows authorised users to configure accounts, network settings, programmable keys and telephone preferences.
Automatic provisioning can be completed through HTTP, HTTPS or TFTP, with additional support for DHCP options and Snom’s redirection service.
Security features include HTTPS, TLS and SRTP support, subject to the connected platform and configured firmware.
The Snom 710 is an earlier-generation model. Firmware availability and support for new activation vary between hosted telephone providers and should be confirmed before ordering.
The phone is supplied reset and prepared for configuration but does not include a telephone number, SIP subscription, hosted licence or provider setup.
Product appearance and labelling may vary slightly between hardware revisions, but all supplied units are tested and prepared to the selected cosmetic grade.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Snom 710 is a SIP network telephone. It requires a compatible hosted VoIP provider, SIP server or business telephone platform and cannot connect directly to an ordinary analogue telephone line.
The phone must be connected to an Ethernet network with access to the required telephone service. SIP account details or provider-controlled provisioning are required before calls can be made.
Power can be supplied by a compatible IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet switch or injector. Where PoE is unavailable, the correct Snom-compatible 5V mains adapter is required and is not included unless specifically stated.
The second 10/100 Ethernet port can provide a pass-through network connection for a nearby computer.
A compatible wired headset can be connected through the dedicated 4P4C headset port using the correct connection cable.
Remote call control with a compatible wireless headset requires the optional Snom EHS Advanced adapter and suitable telephone firmware.
The Snom 710 does not include USB, built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet or expansion-module support.
Telephone functions such as Busy Lamp Field monitoring, extension pickup, call parking, presence and voicemail depend on the connected IP-PBX or hosted VoIP platform.
The Snom 710 is an earlier-generation model. Firmware availability and support for new activation vary between hosted telephone providers.
The phone is supplied without an extension number, SIP subscription, hosted telephone licence or configuration service unless specifically agreed separately.
