The new Yealink AX83H Wi-Fi 6 Portable VoIP Handset is designed for mobile professionals who need reliable business telephone access throughout offices, hotels, retail premises, factories and warehouses.

Unlike a DECT handset, the AX83H connects directly to a compatible dual-band Wi-Fi network. It combines Wi-Fi 6 connectivity with seamless roaming, four SIP accounts, Bluetooth 5.0, HD audio, Smart Noise Filtering, vibration alert and a 2.4-inch colour display.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS

The Yealink AX83H provides portable SIP calling over a compatible business Wi-Fi network, removing the need for a separate DECT base station.

Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 supports compatible 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks and is designed to provide greater capacity in environments with large numbers of connected devices.

Support for 802.11k, 802.11v and 802.11r assists with roaming between compatible wireless access points while users move around a building.

Successful roaming depends on the access points, wireless controller, network design, signal coverage and configuration.

The handset supports up to four SIP accounts, allowing multiple extensions or telephone identities to be configured where supported by the connected VoIP platform.

It also supports Microsoft SIP Gateway, subject to Microsoft licensing, tenant configuration and current platform support.

The 2.4-inch TFT colour display provides a clear view of caller information, telephone menus, call history, directories and handset status.

A backlit keypad supports easier operation in dimly lit offices, warehouses, hotel corridors and other working environments.

The proximity sensor can deactivate the screen when the handset is held near the user’s face, helping to prevent accidental key presses.

HD audio and Yealink Smart Noise Filtering help reduce distracting background sound and improve speech clarity during calls.

Acoustic echo cancellation and full-duplex audio support more natural hands-free conversations.

Five-way voice conferencing allows several callers to join one conversation, subject to telephone-platform and service support.

Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 supports selected compatible wireless headsets for hands-free use.

A 3.5mm audio socket is also provided for compatible wired professional headsets.

Vibration alert provides an additional incoming-call notification in noisy environments or locations where audible ringing may be unsuitable.

The handset is hearing-aid compatible, helping support users with compatible hearing devices.

Its rechargeable 2,000mAh battery provides up to nine hours of talk time or 200 hours of standby under Yealink laboratory conditions.

Actual battery life varies according to Wi-Fi signal strength, display use, call activity, Bluetooth use and network conditions.

The handset supports quick charging through the supplied charging cradle or through its USB Type-C connection.

A USB Type-C charging cable is not normally included in the manufacturer package unless specifically stated.

Wi-Fi settings can be shared by scanning a QR code, helping simplify the setup of an individual handset.

Compatible AX83H handsets can also share settings over the air to support larger deployments.

Yealink Management Cloud Service can support remote deployment, firmware upgrades, monitoring and troubleshooting where the appropriate service is configured.

Security features include WPA3-Enterprise and TLS 1.3 support with suitable firmware, network infrastructure and telephone-platform configuration.

The handset can be positioned in its charging cradle on a desk or mounted using suitable optional accessories.

The AX83H does not include a SIP account, telephone number, hosted licence, Wi-Fi network or provider configuration.
