The new Yealink AX86R Ruggedised Wi-Fi 6 VoIP Handset is designed for mobile professionals who need dependable business telephone access in warehouses, factories, retail premises, hotels, healthcare settings and other demanding working environments.

It connects directly to a compatible business Wi-Fi network and combines IP67 protection, drop resistance, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, four SIP accounts, five-way conferencing, HD audio, AI Noise Cancellation and advanced emergency alarm functions.

The Yealink AX86R is designed for mobile workers who need reliable SIP telephone access in environments where an ordinary office handset may be vulnerable to moisture, dust or accidental impacts.

Its IP67-rated enclosure protects against dust ingress and temporary water immersion when the handset, covers and seals are correctly fitted.

The rugged casing is designed to withstand drops from heights of up to 1.8 metres, helping protect the handset during everyday professional use.

A textured non-slip surface provides a secure grip and is designed to resist scratches, regular cleaning and bacterial growth.

The handset connects directly to a compatible dual-band Wi-Fi 6 network and does not require a separate DECT base station.

Support for 802.11k, 802.11v and 802.11r assists with roaming between compatible wireless access points while users move around a site.

Reliable roaming depends on suitable access points, wireless controllers, signal coverage, network design and configuration.

Four SIP accounts allow several extensions or telephone identities to be configured where supported by the connected hosted VoIP service or IP-PBX.

The handset supports five-way voice conferencing, allowing several callers to join one conversation where supported by the telephone platform.

Microsoft SIP Gateway is supported, subject to appropriate Microsoft licensing, tenant configuration and current platform compatibility.

The handset supports quick charging through the supplied charging cradle or through a suitable USB Type-C connection.

A USB Type-C charging cable is not normally included in the manufacturer package unless specifically stated.

Wi-Fi details can be configured through a compatible smartphone, helping simplify individual handset deployment.

Settings can also be shared over the air between compatible AX handsets to support larger installations.

Yealink Management Cloud Service can support remote deployment, firmware upgrades, monitoring and troubleshooting where the appropriate service is configured.

Wireless security includes WPA3-Enterprise support with suitable firmware and compatible network infrastructure.

The AX86R does not include a SIP account, telephone number, hosted licence, wireless network or provider configuration.
