The refurbished Yealink MP50 with PSU provides computer softphone users with the familiar controls, handset and speakerphone experience of a traditional business telephone.

Designed principally for Microsoft Teams, the MP50 connects to a compatible Windows computer by USB and combines a 4-inch touchscreen, built-in Bluetooth, HD audio, dedicated Teams controls and a three-port USB hub. It can also pair with a compatible mobile phone for Bluetooth calls.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS

The Yealink MP50 is designed for users who make calls through Microsoft Teams or compatible computer softphones but prefer the handset, keypad and speakerphone controls of a desk telephone.

It connects to a compatible computer through USB and operates as an audio and call-control peripheral rather than an independent network telephone.

The MP50 does not have an Ethernet connection, SIP account or independent telephone operating system capable of making calls without a connected computer or mobile device.

Its 4-inch capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 480 × 800 pixels and provides a modern Microsoft Teams-oriented user interface.

Users can access compatible call controls, recent activity, contacts and other application-supported features from the phone’s display.

A dedicated Microsoft Teams button provides rapid access to the Teams application when used with compatible software and firmware.

Available touchscreen functions and call controls depend on the connected application, computer operating system and installed Yealink software.

The traditional telephone handset provides a familiar and private way to conduct business calls without wearing a headset.

The handset is hearing-aid compatible and supports Yealink HD voice for clear professional conversations.

A full-duplex speakerphone with acoustic echo cancellation allows both participants to speak naturally during hands-free calls.

Noise suppression, automatic gain control, digital signal processing and adaptive jitter buffering help maintain clear audio under suitable conditions.

Dedicated controls provide access to answer and end calls, mute, hold, speakerphone and volume adjustment where supported by the connected application.

Built-in Bluetooth allows the MP50 to pair with a compatible mobile phone, enabling mobile-network calls to be handled through the desk phone.

Compatible mobile calls can be answered using the handset or speakerphone, subject to the mobile device and Bluetooth connection.

A Bluetooth headset may also be used through supported connection methods and compatible Yealink accessories.

The dedicated RJ9 headset port accepts compatible professional wired headsets using the correct connection cable.

Three USB 3.0 Type-A ports allow selected USB devices and accessories to be connected through the MP50.

Compatible accessories may include USB headsets, the Yealink BT50 Bluetooth adapter and selected Yealink busylights.

A dedicated 2.5mm busylight port is also provided for compatible visual call-status accessories.

The integrated USB hub helps reduce the number of separate cables that must be connected directly to a desktop or laptop computer.

The supplied external Yealink power adapter provides 12V DC at 1A and is required for normal operation and powered USB accessory support.

The adjustable stand provides two desktop viewing angles of approximately 45 and 53 degrees.

A security-lock slot allows the unit to be secured using a compatible third-party lock in shared offices, reception areas and hot-desking environments.

The MP50 is particularly useful for hot desks, hybrid workers and organisations replacing laptop speakers with a dedicated business calling device.

Yealink USB Connect software may be required to manage firmware, configure settings and support integration with compatible computer applications.

Yealink discontinued the MP50 Microsoft Teams Edition in May 2024, so continued software and platform compatibility should be checked before a new deployment.

The phone is supplied reset and prepared for connection but does not include a computer, Microsoft 365 licence, Teams account, softphone subscription or telephone service.
