The new Yealink MP54 E2 Microsoft Teams Certified IP Phone delivers a native Microsoft Teams calling experience for office workers, reception areas, front desks and shared business spaces.

It combines a responsive 4-inch capacitive touchscreen with dedicated Teams controls, Yealink HD audio, noise-reduction technology, dual Gigabit Ethernet, Power over Ethernet, built-in dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and USB-headset support.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS

The Yealink MP54 E2 is designed as an entry-level native Microsoft Teams phone for office workers, common areas, reception desks and shared business spaces.

Unlike a USB peripheral, the MP54 E2 is a standalone network phone capable of running the Microsoft Teams phone application directly on the device.

The current platform is based on Android and provides an intuitive Microsoft Teams-tailored interface for calls, meetings, voicemail, contacts and other supported functions.

A dedicated Microsoft Teams button gives users direct access to the Teams application and compatible notifications.

The 4-inch capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 480 × 800 pixels and supports five-point multi-touch operation.

An anti-fingerprint surface helps keep the screen clear during regular operation in busy offices and shared environments.

Physical dialling and call-control keys allow users to place and manage calls without relying entirely on the touchscreen.

Yealink Optimal HD Voice and Noise Proof technology help improve speech clarity and reduce distracting background noise during calls.

The handset uses a magnetic cradle to help it sit securely and is hearing-aid compatible for users with suitable hearing devices.

A full-duplex speakerphone with acoustic echo cancellation allows both participants to speak naturally during hands-free conversations.

Additional audio processing includes voice-activity detection, comfort-noise generation, packet-loss concealment, adaptive jitter buffering and automatic gain control.

The MP54 E2 supports common Teams call controls including hold, mute, transfer, forwarding, visual voicemail and synchronised call logs.

Supported meeting controls include mute, hold, resume, ending a meeting and adding or removing participants, subject to the current Teams application.

Hot-desking and Common Area Phone functions allow the device to be used in suitable shared-workspace deployments.

Teams and SIP Hybrid mode can allow compatible SIP calling alongside the native Teams environment where supported and correctly configured.

Built-in dual-band Wi-Fi allows the phone to connect to suitable 2.4GHz or 5GHz wireless networks where a wired network connection is unavailable.

For the most stable business deployment, a wired Gigabit Ethernet connection is normally recommended where practical.

Built-in Bluetooth 5.2 supports selected compatible Bluetooth headsets, allowing users to move away from the desk during calls.

A dedicated RJ9 headset port supports compatible professional wired headsets using the correct connection cable.

The USB Type-A port can be used with selected compatible USB headsets and USB storage devices.

Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports allow the phone to connect to the network while providing a pass-through connection for a nearby computer.

IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet allows the phone to receive power and data through one cable when connected to a compatible PoE switch or injector.

Where PoE is unavailable, the phone can use an optional Yealink 5V/2A mains adapter. The adapter is not included unless specifically stated.

The adjustable desktop stand provides two viewing positions of approximately 45 and 53 degrees.

The phone can also be wall mounted using the appropriate compatible mounting accessory.

Microsoft Teams Admin Center and Yealink management platforms can support bulk deployment, monitoring, firmware updates and remote administration.

Network and security functions include IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, static addressing, HTTPS, TLS, certificate management and IEEE 802.1X.

The phone requires a suitable Microsoft Teams account, Teams Phone licence and administrator configuration. These are not included with the hardware.
