The new Yealink W59R is a rugged cordless DECT handset designed for warehouses, factories, construction sites, workshops and other demanding workplaces where a conventional office handset may be unsuitable.

Its IP67-rated construction helps protect against dust and water, while built-in Bluetooth, vibration alert, HD audio and configurable safety alarms support reliable mobile communication in noisy or physically demanding environments.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS

The Yealink W59R is designed for mobile employees working in environments where dust, moisture, noise and accidental knocks are more likely than in a conventional office.

Its certified IP67 ingress-protection rating helps protect the handset against dust and water when used within the manufacturer’s operating guidance.

The tough rubberised exterior provides additional grip and helps protect the casing from slipping, scratching and regular cleaning with suitable disinfectants.

A 1.8-inch 128 × 160 colour display presents caller information, call history, directories, menus and handset status in a compact portable format.

The illuminated keypad includes dedicated call, speaker, transfer, mute, message and alarm controls for rapid access to frequently used functions.

Three side buttons provide direct volume control and access to the configurable alarm function.

Yealink HD audio and Flexible Noise Reduction help improve speech clarity in environments containing machinery, conversations or other background noise.

The full-duplex speakerphone allows natural hands-free conversations without requiring the handset to be held throughout the call.

The hearing-aid-compatible receiver supports users who require compatible assisted-listening equipment.

Built-in Bluetooth allows selected compatible wireless headsets to be paired without a separate adapter.

The included belt clip and Bluetooth headset support allow employees to remain contactable while keeping their hands available for other tasks.

A vibration alert helps users notice incoming calls and notifications in loud workplaces where an audible ringtone may be difficult to hear.

Configurable safety features include a dedicated push-button alarm, no-movement alarm, man-down alarm and running alarm.

When supported and correctly configured by the connected DECT system, these functions can automatically place an emergency call or send an alert after a defined event.

The 1,460mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to approximately 28 hours of talk time or 360 hours of standby time under suitable laboratory conditions.

When used with a Bluetooth headset, quoted battery performance is up to approximately 18 hours’ talk time or 200 hours’ standby time.

The charging cradle provides a convenient location for storing and recharging the handset between shifts or calls.

Up to two simultaneous calls can be handled by the handset where supported by the connected base and telephone service.

Three-way conferencing, call transfer, hold, call waiting, forwarding, Do Not Disturb, voicemail and speed dial are available subject to base and platform configuration.

The handset supports local, remote, XML and LDAP directory functions where provided by the connected Yealink base and telephone system.

DECT coverage can reach up to approximately 50 metres indoors or 300 metres outdoors under ideal conditions.

Actual coverage varies according to walls, floors, metal structures, machinery, interference and base-station positioning.

The W59R supports seamless roaming and call handover when deployed with a correctly configured compatible Yealink multi-cell system.

The handset requires a compatible Yealink DECT base, SIP account and telephone service. It cannot connect directly to an Ethernet network or operate independently.
