The new Yealink W75 Mini Multi-Cell DECT System is a compact and scalable cordless telephone platform designed for offices, retail premises, warehouses, healthcare settings and other workplaces requiring reliable DECT coverage across a larger area.

The system combines a Yealink W75DM DECT Manager with a W75B base station. It supports seamless roaming and call handover, with capacity for up to three base stations, twenty compatible DECT devices, twenty SIP accounts and twenty simultaneous calls.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS

The Yealink W75 is designed for organisations that need broader and more reliable cordless coverage than a conventional single-cell DECT base can provide.

The W75DM manages the system configuration, registered users, SIP accounts and communication between the deployed W75B base stations.

The included W75B provides the DECT radio coverage used by compatible Yealink cordless handsets and DECT devices.

A complete system can contain up to three W75B base stations, allowing coverage to be distributed across larger offices, separate rooms or multiple floors.

Compatible handsets can roam between the installed base stations while remaining registered to the same DECT system.

Seamless call handover allows an active conversation to move between base-station coverage areas without the user manually reconnecting the call.

The platform supports up to twenty compatible DECT devices, allowing it to serve a growing office, retail operation, warehouse or other workplace.

Up to twenty SIP accounts can be configured, providing separate extensions, users or telephone identities where supported by the connected VoIP platform.

The system supports up to twenty simultaneous calls across the deployment, subject to handset capacity, SIP-account configuration and the connected telephone service.

Yealink lists compatibility with professional handset models including the W57R, W59R, W71H, W73H, W74H and W78H.

Compatibility with the W56H is also supported by official Yealink documentation, subject to an appropriate firmware version.

The system does not include a handset, allowing businesses to choose the handset type most appropriate for each user or working environment.

Standard office users may prefer lightweight models such as the W71H or W73H, while demanding environments may benefit from rugged models such as the W57R or W59R.

DECT radio coverage can reach approximately 50 metres indoors and 300 metres outdoors under ideal conditions.

Actual coverage depends on walls, floors, construction materials, metal structures, machinery, interference and the placement of each base station.

The W75 supports deployment in multicast and non-multicast network environments.

In a suitable multicast network, the system can automatically recognise the DECT Manager and connected base station to simplify initial deployment.

Where multicast is unavailable, the manager address can be entered through the base station’s web interface.

The DECT Manager and base station can also be physically connected during initial setup, helping establish the system in more restricted network environments.

Level 1 base backup allows another installed base station to take over the synchronisation role when the primary Level 1 base becomes unavailable.

Yealink states that the backup process can complete within approximately one minute, helping the system return to normal operation quickly.

Dual-manager operation can be configured using an additional W75DM to provide greater resilience for the system-management function.

Directory options include local directories, remote phonebooks, LDAP and XML phonebooks, together with suitable PBX contact services.

Available call functions can include hold, mute, transfer, forwarding, call waiting, Do Not Disturb, speed dial, voicemail and caller identification.

Calling functions depend on the connected handset, hosted VoIP provider, PBX and administrator configuration.

Automatic provisioning through TFTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS and Yealink RPS can help administrators deploy and maintain the system.

Security features include TLS, SRTP, HTTPS, digest authentication, secure configuration files and current TLS 1.3 support.

The W75B and W75DM support Power over Ethernet, reducing the need for mains sockets close to the installation positions.

Where PoE is unavailable, each device requires a compatible optional Yealink 5V/1.2A power adapter.

A compatible SIP account, hosted VoIP service, network infrastructure, PoE equipment and DECT handset are required and are not included with the system.
