The refurbished Yealink W80B is a professional DECT IP multi-cell base station designed to extend cordless telephone coverage across large offices, warehouses, hotels, healthcare premises, retail sites and other multi-zone workplaces.
Multiple W80B base stations can be deployed as part of a Yealink W80 system, providing seamless roaming and active-call handover for compatible Yealink DECT handsets as users move between synchronised coverage areas.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Yealink W80B is designed for workplaces where the coverage provided by a single conventional DECT base station is insufficient.
Multiple W80B base stations can be positioned throughout a building or site to create overlapping cordless coverage zones.
Compatible registered handsets can roam between these zones while remaining connected to the same Yealink W80 telephone system.
Seamless call handover allows an active conversation to transfer between synchronised W80B base stations as the user moves around the deployment.
A standard W80 system combines one W80DM DECT Manager with up to thirty W80B radio base stations.
The W80DM controls SIP accounts, registered endpoints, system configuration and communication between the installed base stations.
The complete platform supports up to one hundred SIP accounts and one hundred compatible registered DECT devices.
Up to one hundred simultaneous calls can be supported across the system, subject to endpoint capacity, radio resources and the connected telephone service.
Each W80B can support up to eight simultaneous narrowband calls or four simultaneous wideband calls through its local DECT radio interface.
Compatible endpoints include selected Yealink DECT handsets, rugged handsets, conference phones and DECT headsets.
Current Yealink documentation lists compatible models including the W53H, W56H, W57R, W59R, W73H and W78H, subject to suitable system and handset firmware.
The W80 platform is designed for Yealink DECT endpoints and is not intended for use with third-party DECT base stations or handsets.
Typical radio coverage can reach approximately 50 metres indoors or 300 metres outdoors under ideal line-of-sight conditions.
Actual range depends on walls, floors, reinforced concrete, metal structures, lifts, machinery, interference and the positioning of each base station.
Coverage areas must overlap sufficiently to maintain base synchronisation, reliable roaming and active-call handover.
A professional DECT survey is recommended for large, complex, safety-critical or heavily reinforced buildings before final installation.
The W80 system supports local directories, remote phonebooks, LDAP, XML phonebooks and compatible PBX contact services.
Available telephone features can include hold, mute, transfer, forwarding, call waiting, Do Not Disturb, voicemail and caller identification.
Calling features depend on the connected endpoint, SIP provider, PBX and administrator configuration.
The base station supports IPv4 and IPv6 networks together with VLAN and quality-of-service configuration.
Automatic provisioning and centralised management help administrators deploy and maintain larger W80 installations.
Security functions include encrypted DECT communication and supported SIP security protocols such as TLS, SRTP and HTTPS.
IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet allows the W80B to receive power and network connectivity through one RJ45 cable.
Where PoE is unavailable, a compatible Yealink mains power adapter can be used.
The W80B is not a standalone telephone and requires a properly configured W80 system, compatible endpoint and SIP telephone service.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Yealink W80B is a DECT radio base station for use within a compatible Yealink W80 multi-cell system.
A Yealink W80DM DECT Manager is normally required to control the system, SIP accounts, registered endpoints and base-station configuration.
The W80B connects to the network through its Ethernet port and supports IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet.
Where PoE is unavailable, a compatible mains power adapter is required. A power adapter is not included unless specifically stated.
The base station must be discovered, registered and configured within the W80 system before it can provide radio coverage for compatible endpoints.
Base-station positions must provide sufficient overlapping coverage to maintain radio synchronisation, roaming and active-call handover.
Compatible endpoints depend on the installed firmware. Yealink states that the W80 platform is not compatible with third-party DECT base stations or handsets.
For complex buildings, reinforced structures or large industrial sites, a DECT survey is recommended before final mounting.
Please note: The W80DM, handsets, SIP accounts, hosted licences, telephone numbers, PoE equipment and mains adapter are not included unless specifically stated.
