PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The new Yealink WF50 is a compact dual-band Wi-Fi 5 USB dongle designed to add wireless network connectivity to selected compatible Yealink IP phones.
It supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless networks, allowing a compatible phone to connect without a wired Ethernet connection. With speeds of up to 433Mbps on 5GHz, the WF50 provides a flexible solution for offices where installing or relocating network cabling would be inconvenient.

DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS
The Yealink WF50 allows selected Yealink IP phones to connect to a compatible wireless network instead of relying solely on a wired Ethernet connection.
It is suitable for desks without a nearby network socket, temporary workstations, reception areas or offices where running additional Ethernet cabling would be difficult.
Dual-band connectivity allows the user to select either a 2.4GHz or 5GHz wireless network, depending on the available router, signal strength and workplace environment.
The 2.4GHz band can provide wider coverage in some buildings, while the 5GHz band may offer less interference and higher connection speeds where a strong signal is available.
The WF50 supports IEEE 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and Wi-Fi 5 802.11ac wireless standards.
Quoted wireless speeds are up to 150Mbps on 2.4GHz and up to 433Mbps when connected through 5GHz 802.11ac.
Actual connection speed depends on the phone, wireless router, network traffic, distance, interference and building construction.
The adapter is powered through the connected USB port, so no separate power supply or charging equipment is needed.
Once installed, compatible Yealink phones can scan for available wireless networks and store the selected network credentials through the phone’s menu.
Security support includes WEP, WPA/WPA2, WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK and WPA2-Enterprise.
The integrated antenna keeps the adapter compact and avoids the need for a separate external aerial.
The WF50 measures approximately 52 × 27 × 8mm and weighs approximately 28g.
Yealink’s current product page lists the T42U, T43U, T44U, T46U, T48U, T52S, T54S and T53 as compatible when running version 84 firmware or later.
The original WF50 datasheet also lists the T27G, T41S, T42S, T46S and T48S with suitable version 84 firmware.
Compatibility should always be checked against the exact telephone model and installed firmware before purchase.
The WF50 provides Wi-Fi network connectivity only. It does not add Bluetooth, provide telephone power or include a SIP account or telephone service.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The Yealink WF50 is intended for selected Yealink IP phones and compatible Yealink conferencing equipment with a supported USB port and firmware.
Yealink’s current product page lists compatibility with the T42U, T43U, T44U, T46U, T48U, T52S, T54S and T53 running version 84 firmware or later.
Older official documentation also lists the T27G, T41S, T42S, T46S and T48S with suitable version 84 firmware.
Compatibility should be confirmed against the exact phone model and installed firmware before purchase.
Insert the WF50 into a supported USB port, open the phone’s Wi-Fi settings, scan for the required wireless network and enter the network password where applicable.
A reliable business-grade wireless network is recommended. Weak coverage, interference and network congestion can affect VoIP call quality.
The WF50 is not a general-purpose computer Wi-Fi adapter and is not guaranteed to operate with unsupported phones, computers or other USB equipment.
Please note: A compatible Yealink phone, wireless router, SIP account, hosted licence and telephone service are not included.
