DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS

The Avaya 9611G is designed for business users who require a clear visual interface, flexible call handling and fast desktop network connectivity.

Its graphical colour display presents caller information, call appearances, menus, contacts, call history and system-supported applications in an easy-to-read format.

Eight line and call-appearance positions can be used for active calls, additional extensions and programmable system functions, depending on the connected Avaya platform.

Integrated red and green indicators provide visual confirmation of incoming calls, active lines, held calls and enabled features.

Context-sensitive soft keys change according to the screen and calling activity, providing convenient access to relevant actions.

The central navigation controls allow users to move through menus, contacts, call records and telephone settings.

Dedicated buttons provide direct access to commonly used functions including Phone, Contacts, History, Messages, Home, Headset, Speaker and Mute.

The built-in full-duplex speakerphone supports hands-free conversations and small conference-style calls at the desk.

A dedicated wired-headset connection allows compatible professional headsets to be used for frequent or hands-free calling.

Wideband audio can provide clearer and more natural voice reproduction where supported by the telephone system, network and call route.

The integrated USB port supports selected functions and compatible USB devices when enabled by the system administrator and telephone firmware.

Supported H.323 configurations may use USB storage for functions such as transferring contacts or providing compatible screen images, subject to administration.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports allow the telephone to connect to the business network while providing a high-speed pass-through connection for a nearby computer.

Power over Ethernet support allows both power and data to be supplied through a compatible PoE network switch or injector.

The 9611G does not use a conventional plug-top power adapter and requires a suitable PoE connection or compatible single-port PoE injector.

Up to three compatible Avaya button modules may be attached to expand the number of available call appearances and programmable feature buttons.

Supported system functions may include call transfer, hold, conference, forwarding, voicemail, contacts, call history and directory access.

The phone can operate with supported Avaya H.323 or SIP environments, but the required firmware and setup depend on the connected telephone platform.

This is an Avaya system desk phone and should not be assumed to operate as a universal plug-and-play SIP telephone on unrelated third-party platforms.

COMPATIBILITY & SETUP

The Avaya 9611G is designed for compatible Avaya communication platforms, including supported Avaya IP Office, Avaya Aura and Communication Manager environments.

Compatibility depends on the telephone-system platform, software release, installed firmware, licences, network configuration and administrator settings.

The 9611G can use supported Avaya H.323 or SIP firmware. The installed firmware must match the requirements of the telephone system on which it will be used.

This is an Avaya system phone and should not be assumed to work as a universal standalone SIP telephone on every third-party hosted or on-premises platform.

The phone supports IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet and requires a compatible PoE network switch or PoE injector for power.

The 9611G does not accept the conventional external plug-top power supplies used by some other Avaya phone ranges.

The secondary Gigabit Ethernet port can provide a network pass-through connection for a nearby computer, subject to the design and configuration of the business network.

Extension credentials, system licences, firmware provisioning and network configuration are not supplied with the phone and must be completed by the customer or their Avaya system maintainer.

Please note: A telephone system, PoE switch, PoE injector, headset, button module, extension licence and installation service are not included unless specifically stated.
